Penny AB

Development of Penny Interactive Glasses began in Jan of 2006 and the first prototype was released for beta testing in January 2009. It was developed to significantly improve the use of information in a mobile environment for users with the need of Augmented Reality (AR) data without the ability to use hands or users having their hands occupied. With the rapid growth of mobile computers, mobile phones, and other similar systems, the product offers tremendous advantages to professional users. In a close future, the consumer market will be addressed.

During the last two years, Penny has taken a position as a high-end hardware developer that enables users to see graphics on top of the reality in a mobile environment, control the mouse functionality by the head movements and do mouse commands by pressing the jaw together. The use of the latest AR technology combined with Penny’s Interactive Glasses has given Penny a unique position. No other company has been able to combine all the technology hardware that Penny has developed and there is no system as complete as Penny’s available in the market today.

The Penny Interactive Glasses (patented) were selected by the Swedish Institute as one of 20 Sweden's Hottest Innovations in 2011.
