On Thursday, the 14th of November, representatives from IPA, VIS, EON, TECNALIA and DDE visited the TELNET production facilities in Zaragoza, Spain.
A guided tour through the assembly line of the mobile antenna was conducted, with special emphasis on the assembly work place of the radial element, showing the various tools and components and highlighting typical problems, errors of the assembly process .
Then, a brainstorming workshop was conducted with the participation of stakeholders from the Design and Production Departments. In the workshop the participants discussed potential process/tool changes, as well as the support processes and organizational aspects, which have to be considered. Next, they gathered user stories from different perspectives and roles (management, design engineer, production planer, shop floor worker, system-integrator, robot, etc.), and prioritized them according to TELNET’s needs (e.g. planning of work place, ergonomics, cycle time).
